Heavy Container Lifting & Transport Solutions
Heavy-Duty Lifting Up to 70,000+ lbs | DOT-Compliant Regional Hauling
When you are dealing with massive cargo loads, standard tilt-beds and light-duty trucks just won't cut it. At Elite Container Services, we provide the heavy-duty muscle required to lift, ground, and relocate heavily loaded shipping containers. Whether it’s a container rented from our fleet or your own Shipper-Owned Container (SOC), our specialized equipment tackles the heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Understanding Our Capabilities: Lifting vs. Transporting
To keep your job site safe and remain fully compliant with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, we separate our services into two distinct weight categories:
1. On-Site Heavy Lifting (Up to 70,000+ lbs)
Need a massive container grounded, re-positioned, or transferred from another trailer right on your job site?
Extreme Capacity: Our advanced dual-crane side-lifter trailers can safely lift and ground containers weighing over 70,000 lbs.
Precision Control: We handle heavy equipment, dense building materials, and fully stocked industrial containers without breaking a sweat, keeping the load perfectly level throughout the lift.
2. Over-the-Road Transport (Up to 32,000 lbs)
When it comes to hauling your container on public highways, we play strictly by the rules to ensure legal, safe, and fine-free transit.
DOT Weight Compliance: To stay within legal federal and state gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR), we can highway-transport containers with a total weight of 32,000 lbs or less.
Safe Regional Transit: This weight limit allows us to rapidly move your loaded containers across state lines without the delays, permitting bottlenecks, and massive expenses associated with oversized/overweight permits.
Site Readiness: Crucial Clearance Requirements
Our specialized sidelift trailers require specific spacing to operate safely. Because our precision cranes deploy and lift exclusively from the driver's side of our trailer, please ensure your site meets the following minimum clearance guidelines prior to our arrival:
Side-Loading Space: We must have direct access to the side of the container with at least a 10-foot wide clear zone right next to it for our stabilizing legs and crane arms to deploy.
Overhead Clearance: We require at least 20 feet of vertical clearance directly over the container to safely extend our lifting cranes.
Access & Driveway Width: The driveway, gate, or approach road leading to the container placement spot must be at least 14 feet wide.
Watch Out for Obstacles: These clearance limits include looking out for low-hanging tree branches, overhead power/utility wires, business signs, and entry arches. Please double-check your path before booking!
